A view of a glass walkway suspended on a cliff face 160 meters above the valley, on Batai Mountain in Wanyuan City, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, Aug. 1, 2016. At an altitude of 2,288 meters, the 108-meter-long and 1.6-meter-wide walkway holds claims to be the highest see-through path in China, offering magnificent views of the beautiful natural scenery. It opened on Monday and said that each square meter of the walkway is able to hold the weight of ten adults.
It is reported that both the length and altitude of Batai glass walkway ranks highest based on the current data of the glass walkway along the cliff, compared with the glass walkway of Laiyuan baishi mountain (1900 m above sea level, 95 meters long), the glass walkway of Zhangjiajie Tianmen mountain(60 meters long, 1430 meters above sea level), the glass walkway of Dandong Phoenix Mountain (31 meters long, more than 700 meters above sea level).
