Happy trail horse riding in Songpan of East Tibet is well known for the pretty forest, lakes and delivering Tibetan herdsmen. The riding is neither long nor strenuous, but it is a pleasant trip with discoveries. It is a real trip of happiness.
In these trips, we will ride horses with local Tibetan herd man guided explore the pretty nature. The riding is comfortable, about 5 hours per day, which permit us enough time to enjoy the nature and lives.
Itinerary 1: 3 Days Riding of Songpan to Munigou National Park

Itinerary 1: 3 Days Riding of Songpan to Munigou National Park
D1Arrive in Chengdu.
Activities: Arrive in Chengdu, then meet tour leader in the late afternoon. Shopping for the horse riding trip.
D2 Chengdu / Songpan ( BUS )
Activities: Head for Songpan by bus. Enjoy the mountain and river en route. Arrive in Songpan in the late afternoon. Rent horses. Night in hotel.
D3-5 Songpan / Munigou National Park / Songpan ( Horse Riding )
Activities: We will ride Tibetan horses to explore the beautiful Munigou National Park. The snow peaks, virgin forest , lakes, Tibetan villages will be make our riding happy. Camping in the evening.
D6 Songpan /Chengdu ( BUS )
D6 Songpan /Chengdu ( BUS )
Activities : We will take bus back to Chengdu or continue our trip to Jiuzhaigou National Park . END .
Itinerary 2: 4 Days Riding of Songpan to Mt Xuebaoding
D1 Arrive in Chengdu.
Activities: Arrive in Chengdu , then meet tour leader in the late afternoon. Shopping for the horse riding trip.
D2 Chengdu / Songpan ( BUS )
Activities: Head for Songpan by bus. Enjoy the mountain and river en route. Arrive in Songpan in the late afternoon. Rent horses. Night in hotel.
D3-6 Songpan / Xuebaoding / Songpan
( Horse Riding )
Activities; We will ride to the pretty Xuebaoding peak in 2 days, then back to Songpan. We will enjoy the pretty virgin forest, grassland, and snow mountains en route. Camping in the evening.
D7 Songpan / Chengdu ( BUS )
Activities: Take bus back to Chengdu or we can continue to travel to Jiuzhaigou National Park nearby.
Songpan Attractions:
Munigou Scenic Spot is located in Songpan County. It contains Zhaga Waterfall and Erdaohai. There are very rich natural resource in the scenic area, as well as some rare animal such as Giant Panda and Canary Monkey. All these contributed to the "fairyland"--Munigou. Zhaga Waterfall is reputed as" NO.1 Calcifying Waterfall in China". It stands 104m high, 35m wide, and falls down with the speed of 23m per second. And the mystic Erdaohai is near to Zhaga Waterfall. In the 5-kilometer long valley, there is Erdaohai, Swan lake, Feicui Lake, Rhinoceros Lake and some other tremendous scenery.
Mt Xuebaoding is the highest peak of the Mt Ming range ( 5588 meters in sea level ) near Songpan county. The mountain is cliffy, and been covered by snow all the year. When you look at the mountain in a distance, it looks like a giant God in heaven with bright white armor. There has deep ravine and glacier in the mountain. Among these vertical and horizontal ravines, there has shaped like dragon, phoenix, lion, tiger, etc. And in the bottom is mainly pasture and forest, in which wild animals like sheep, deer, pheasant are living their happy life. Fountain flow from the mountain influx here and become hundreds of pear -like lakes.
