The grottoes and niches of Longmen contain the largest and most impressive collection of Chinese art of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties (316-907). These works, entirely devoted to the Buddhist religion, represent the high point of Chinese stone carving. Along with the Mogao Caves and Yungang Grottoes, the Longmen Grottoes are one of the three most famous ancient sculptural sites in China. There are over 2100 niches, more than 100,000 statues, some 40 pagodas and 3600 tablets and steles in the caves of Guyang, Binyang and Lianhua.

In the morning,pick up from your hotel. Visit Longmen Caves(or Longmen Grottoes), which contains the largest and most impressive collection of Early Chinese Buddhist cave art represented by well-preserved pagodas, carvings and statues.
Have lunch in local restaurant. Visit Museum of Luoyang Eastern Zhou Royal Horse and Chariot Pits. Located on the Eastern Zhou Royal City Square center of the city. This is a special museum mainly displays the giant horse and chariot sacrificial pit of Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-221 B.C).
In the late afternoon you will explore the old street of Luoyang, where you will trace the prosperious street of Tang dynastery.
