Wuhan East Lake Scenic Area
East Lake Scenic Area Wuhan China with mountains and waterLocated on the south bank of the Yangtze River in the eastern part of Wuchang District, Wuhan, East Lake (Donghu) is one of the most famous natural attractions in Hubei Province.
As the largest urban lake in China, East Lake is a symbol of Wuhan and one of the city’s most popular sightseeing destinations.
The scenic area covers approximately 87 square kilometers, including about 33 square kilometers of water surface, making it more than five times larger than the famous West Lake in Hangzhou.

The Tingtao Scenic Area, meaning “Listening to the Waves,” is one of the main entrances to East Lake.
